KOREAN FRIED CHICKEN WINGS
For a long time I was looking for Gochujang sauce.
One available was commercial quality in a large tub. Finally I could lay my hand on the small sized tub and I decided to try my favourite Korean Fried Chicken Wings.
The Crispy fried wings on its own taste very delicious, however, after tossing them in sauce they acquire superb taste.
INGREDIENTS

Chicken wings. 500 gm
Garlic powder. 1/2 tsp
Black pepper powder 1 tsp
Flour. 3 tbsp
Corn flour. 2 tbsp
Garlic powder. 1/2 tsp
Egg. 1
Baking powder. 1/2 tsp
Garlic. 1 tbsp finely chopped
Gochujang. 2 tbsp
Light soy sauce. 1 tbsp
Brown sugar. 2 tbsp
Rice wine vinegar. 2 tbsp
Sesame seeds. 1 tsp toasted
Salt. As per taste
Oil. To deep fry
Sesame oil. 1 tbsp
METHOD
Take a bowl add chicken wings. Add salt, black pepper powder and garlic powder, mix well and marinade for minimum 15 minutes. I marinated for 3 hours.
Take a separate bowl add flour, corn flour, some salt, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, baking powder and mix well. Add one egg and mix well, now add 1/2 a cup of water and whisk it to a smooth batter.
Meanwhile heat oil in a wok for deep frying.
Dip each marinated wing in the batter and deep fry in batches on medium high heat for about four minutes turning once. Take out with a slotted spoon and rest for few minutes. We are going to refry it.
Increase heat to high and deep fry the wings till they turn golden brown.
Meanwhile
Remove with a slotted spoon and keep aside.
Meanwhile take a pan heat sesame oil in it. Add garlic and sauté till light golden.
Add Gochujang, rice wine vinegar, soy sauce and brown sugar mix well., sauté on medium high for two minutes.
Add fried chicken wings mix well, sauté for another two minutes till all wings are evenly coated with the sauce.
Remove from heat sprinkle half the toasted sesame seeds and mix.
Sprinkle remaining sesame seeds and serve hot.
